Creating Space for Your Own Story

Sometimes the expectations we carry, the relationships we navigate, and the stories we've come to believe about ourselves can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who we want to be. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, questioning your sense of self, experiencing challenges in your relationships, or moving through a significant life transition.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, conversational, and genuinely human. It's a space where you can explore your experiences openly, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out.

Together, we can begin to understand the patterns influencing your life, reconnect with what matters most to you, and create room for new possibilities.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, which means I'm interested not only in the challenges bringing you to therapy, but also in the experiences, relationships, values, and stories that have shaped how you see yourself and the world around you.

I believe that people are more than the problems they experience. Sometimes the stories we've come to accept about ourselves can make it difficult to recognize our strengths, question expectations, or imagine things differently.

Through curiosity, reflection, and meaningful conversation, we'll explore how these stories developed, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and work toward separating your identity from the challenges you're facing.

My goal is to create a supportive, authentic therapeutic relationship where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to define change on your own terms.

The Perspective I Bring to My Work

I received my graduate training from Pepperdine University, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding the emotional, relational, and social experiences that shape people's lives.

I'm especially drawn to exploring the ways our identities and relationships are influenced by family expectations, cultural messages, and the roles we take on throughout our lives.

I approach therapy with the belief that each person brings valuable knowledge about their own experiences. Rather than positioning myself as the expert on your life, I see our work as a collaboration in which your perspective, values, and hopes guide the process.

Who I Work With

I particularly enjoy supporting women, individuals, and couples navigating:

  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm

  • Self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence

  • Relationship difficulties and communication challenges

  • Family dynamics and recurring relational patterns

  • Identity exploration and personal growth

  • Life transitions and changing roles

  • Boundaries, expectations, and people-pleasing patterns

  • Romantic relationships and couples' concerns

Whether you're trying to better understand yourself, navigate a difficult relationship, or find your footing during a period of change, therapy can offer space to explore what you're experiencing and what you want your next chapter to look like.

Getting Started

I offer virtual therapy through Elmzadeh Counseling, serving clients throughout Orange County, California.

You don't have to know exactly what you want to change before beginning therapy. Sometimes it starts with having a space to talk, reflect, and feel genuinely heard.

Your story is still unfolding. Together, we can explore the possibilities for how you'd like to shape what comes next.
